Kathryn N. Palmer, 72, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, in Omaha, Neb.

Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Pastor Todd Schlitter officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Kathryn was born on Aug. 8, 1949, in Primghar, Iowa, to Glenn and Norene (Riser) Pry. She attended school and graduated high school in Sanborn, Iowa. On Oct. 21, 1972, she married Andrew J. "AJ" Palmer in Sioux City. To this union, three children were born. Andrew passed away on March 22, 1999 in Sioux City.

Kathryn began her career as a medical transcriptionist with St. Luke's Hospital shortly after her high school graduation, where she remained for over 45 years until her retirement. Kathryn was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sioux City for many years. In her spare time, Kathryn enjoyed Iowa Hawkeyes Football trips, bowling and golfing, watching her grandchildren play sports, and spending time with them as they grew up.

She is survived by her children Bethany Palmer Crocker (Paul), Kelli Palmer (Gary), and Adam Palmer (Dani); grandchildren Kolton Crocker, Ysabella Arredondo, London Crocker, Zilyn Stevens, and Wrenn Miller; siblings John Pry, Clifford Pry, Dawn Pry, Shelly Sommers, and Jana Fitzgerald; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, AJ; parents; sister Judy Pry; and brother Gene Pry.
