Lester Padget, 74 of Mesa and formerly of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, in Mesa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Les was born Aug. 22, 1947, in Bloomfield, Iowa; he was the son of Lale and Ola (Herbert) Padget. Les grew up in Bloomfield. He graduated from Morningside College, where he met the love of his life, Yvonne Heaton. They were married Aug. 31, 1968, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne of Mesa; children Alesha Henderson (Chris) of San Tan Valley, Ariz., Eric Padget (Gretchen) of Excelsior, Minn., and Jason Padget of Louisville, Ky.; sister Neva Allen (Ken); brother Donald L. Padget (Shirley); half-sister, Wannetta Huber; favorite aunt, Bette Herbert; and seven grandchildren, Abby and Evan Henderson, Katelyn, Elyse, and Owen Padget, and Jackson and Will Padget.
