14 May 2022Curtis John "Curt" Oynes of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at a local facility.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel on Hamilton Blvd. with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Curt was born near Anaheim, Calif., on June 18, 1948, to Christian and Lorraine (Nelson) Oynes. He grew up in Anaheim; Curt obtained a BA in History and BS in Accounting. On June 4, 1983 he married Kathleen Bernard in Spring Valley, Minn. In 1989 he and his wife moved to Sioux City. He worked for AC & R Specialist for 30 years as a Payroll Specialist and retired in December 2015.
Curt is survived by his wife Kathleen; son John; nephews Eric (Heather) and family, and Jonathan (Francine) and family.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Chris.
