BRONSON, Iowa | Norma J. Brink, 85, of Bronson died Saturday, May 14, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, Iowa, with the Rev. Cynthia Ripperger and Chaplain Lorna Peters officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Township Cemetery near Bronson. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Norma was born on May 8, 1931, near Westfield, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Winnifred (Kroksh) Bliss. She graduated in 1949 from Westfield Community High School.

On March 24, 1952, Norma was united in marriage to Darwin Brink at the Westfield Congregational Church in Westfield, Iowa.

Norma will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her kind and caring ways, always ready to help out or lend a hand. She was an active member in her church and enjoyed Bible study and making pies for the church food stand at the fair. She couldn’t wait until spring to plant her garden and tend her flower bed. Later in life, her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Norma is survived by her husband, Darwin; four children, Debra (Dennis) Baldwin of Merrill, Iowa, Diane (Richard) Keith of Preston, Minn., Dawn Kinney of Bronson, and David (Rhonda) Brink of Bronson; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, John (Becky) Bliss of Tulia, Texas; her sister, Bernice Boetger of Akron, Iowa; and her sister-in- law, LaVerla Bliss of Amarillo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Bliss; a sister-in-law, Pat Bliss; and a brother-in-law, Arden Boetger.
