Ruth Case Carter, 92, of Sioux City died Sunday, April 15, 2001, in Sioux City.

Private family graveside services will be at a later date in Kingsley Cemetery, Kingsley, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Mrs. Carter was born Dec. 7, 1908, in Bradley, S.D., the daughter of Howard LeRue and Lily Rosina (Smith) Martin.

She married Oscar Case on July 20, 1928, in Pierson, Iowa. She later married Raymond Carter on May 3, 1968. Both husbands preceded her in death.

She lived in California for a few years and moved back to Sioux City in 1984.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Delbert and Mary Case of Marcus, Iowa, Steve and Pam Case and Wayne and Mary Ann Case, all of Sioux City; a daughter, Gail Montague of Liberty, Mo.; and two sisters, Ruby Brock of Eureka, Calif., and Bonnie Krep of Portland, Ore.
