PIERSON, Iowa - Mrs. Ralph Van Buskirk, 87, of Pierson, died Nov. 30 at her residence. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 3 in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Forest M. Lay will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. at the Dickinson-Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley.

Mrs. Van Buskirk, the former Ida Charlotte Trenn, was born March 18, 1896, in Sioux City. She was married Feb. 27, 1905, in Sioux City. He died in 1971. The couple lived at Newcastle, Neb., for a time and later farmed near McClusky, N.D., Kingsley, Climbing Hill and Bronson. They retired to Pierson in 1960.

Survivors include four sons, Alvin of Pierson, Arlo of South Sioux City, Dwain of La Mirada, Calif., and Ralph Jr., of Yakima, Wash., one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Viola) Nairn of Kingsley; 22 grandchildren and 54 grandchildren.
