AURELIA, Iowa - Ruth M. Struve, 86, of Aurelia died Monday, April 9, 1990, in Sunset Knoll Nursing Home in Aurelia.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Cemetery at Pierson with the Rev. John Battern of Pierson United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Wharton Funeral Home in Aurelia.

Mrs. Struve, the former Ruth Wenzel, was born Jan. 1, 1904, in Battle Township, Ida County, the daughter of Albert and Lena (Jessen) Wenzel. She married Fred W. Struve Dec. 19, 1921, in Cherokee. The couple lived most of their married life in the Pierson area. He died Jan. 10, 1974, and she moved to Aurelia the same year. In 1983 she moved to Sunset Knoll.

Survivors include four daughters, LeVon Trusty of Fort Dodge, Leona Jensen of Newell, Lola Lehnhardt of Aurelia and Lorraine McCory of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, LeRoy of Pierson and Leon of Killeen, Texas; a sister, Laverne Dalton of Le Mars; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
