Mrs. M. P. Stevens was taken to the hospital at Sioux City Wednesday, where she died Friday night. The funeral was held from the Methodist church Monday, the sermon being preached by Rev. Hammer. Mrs. Stevens was laid to rest beside her husband in the Pierson cemetery. She had lived in Pierson a great many years and leaves many friends to mourn her loss. She is also survived by five sons and one daughter.
