PIERSON, Iowa - Mrs. Louis Sproul, 80, of Pierson died Tuesday in Sioux Valley Hospital in Cherokee.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley. The Rev. Beverly Wood will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Sproul, the former Erma E. Goodrich, was born May 11, 1902, in Kingsley.

She married Louis Sproul Feb. 13, 1928, at Jefferson, S.D. They made their home in Pierson. He died in 1977.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Arlene Gunnarson of Cherokee; four sisters, Mrs. Bob (Hazel) Zabel, Mrs. Henry (Blanche) Preston and Mrs. Clara Tolstead, all of. Battle Creek and Mrs. Gus (Elda) Kruger of Anthon; one stepson, Wilbur of Burbank, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Larry (Adeline) Johnsen of Sunnyvale, Calif.; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
