Mrs. Lillie Spence, 92, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Zoe Orris, 715 Virginia street, after a long illness.

Mrs. Spence was born August 27, 1870, in Iowa County, la., and she moved to Shelby County as a young girl. She was married to George W. Spence on November 5, 1888, at Harlan, la. They lived in Harrison and Cherokee counties until 1917 when they moved to Pierson. In 1946 they moved to Sioux City.

She was a member of the Pierson Church of Christ, Women's church group, Royal Neighbors of America and Rebekah lodge. She later joined the Morningside Church of Christ.

Survivors besides Mrs. Orris include another daughter, Mrs. Pearl Denlinger, also of Sioux City; two grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p. m. Tuesday at the W Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside. Rev. Russell Rodgers of the Church of Christ near Correctionville will officiate. Additional services will be at Pierson Church of Christ with Rev Mr. Kinton assisting Rev. Mr. Rodgers. Burial will be in the Pierson cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
