Kayden M. Solma

Sioux City

Kayden M. Solma, 20, of Sioux City, Iowa entered into his eternal heavenly home on Monday, April 18, 2022.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Morningside Assembly of God. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m., Monday, April 25 at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Kayden was born Aug. 2, 2001 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Cori (Josh) Eickholt and Justin Solma. He graduated from East High School in 2020. Despite Kayden's lifelong ups and downs with muscular dystrophy he refused to set limits for himself, ever. His faith and love for God, his family, friends and pets was unwavering. He would help anyone no matter the task at hand. He loved to make everyone smile and constantly would put everyone above himself. He had learned what selflessness, respect and kindness meant early on and never lost those amazing attributes.

Kayden attended Morningside Assembly of God and was part of the Motation Nation Racing Association.

He cherished his time with family, many close friends and beloved pets. He absolutely adored his sister Kaylee, brother Jonah and "brother" Camden. While his life here on Earth was brief, he truly knew the meaning of "living life to the fullest". Everyone who knew Kayden knew his passion for cars, especially the fastest ones possible. Kayden's BMW was his baby, his pride and joy to drive. He was always proud of being an expert at driving it and pushing it to its full limits.

He loved the simple things of life: car rides, movies with friends and family, relaxing to music and spending time with God. Kayden had a heart of gold, a free spirit, the brightest blue beautiful eyes and an amazing smile that will be missed and treasured forever by so many.

He was the best son, brother, best friend God could have given to anyone, and we will be forever grateful, thankful and blessed that God gave him to us.

Kayden is survived by his parents, Cori (Josh) Eickholt, Justin Solma; brother, Jonah Eickholt; sister, Kaylee Solma; siblings, Dallas and Delilah Solma; grandparents, Stuart and Sandy Eickholt, Mary Solma-Graves (Tim Graves), Greg Solma; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Mark Steinhoff; grandma, Kim Trobaugh; and his pets, Sadie and Puff.
