KINGSLEY, Iowa - Mrs. Carl (Hertha) Rock, 89, of Kingsley, died Sunday at a Kingsley nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Lutheran Church at Kingsley. The Rev. Marvin Suhr will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Pierson under direction of the Michaelson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rock, the former Hertha Rock, was born Aug. 8, 1892, at Rock Branch, Woodbury County.

She was married in 1922. Mr. Rock died in 1970. They lived and farmed in Plymouth County community until 1951 when they retired to Pierson. Mr. Rock died in 1970. For the last seven years she had lived at Colonial Manor in Kingsley.

She was a charter member of the First Lutheran Church and a member of the Farm Bureau Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son, Elmer of Kingsley; a brother, Henry of Pierson; two granddaughters, and one great-grandson.
