Long Time Woodbury Resident Is Dead

Pierson, la. Special: Fritz Rock, bachelor resident of Pierson and long time resident of Woodbury County, died Tuesday in the office of Dr. E. J. Raw following a heart attack. He had been in failing health since being stricken with a heart attack two weeks ago. Mr. Rock was born in Germany.

The only near-relative surviving is a brother, Carl Rock of Bonners Ferry, Ida. Several half brothers and sisters are thought to be living in Germany. Funeral services will be held from the Pierson Church of Christ.

Early Settler Buried

Pierson, la. Special: Funeral services for Fritz Rock, resident of Woodbury County for 50 years and resident of Pierson for 18 years, were held Saturday at the Pierson Church of Christ, Rev. Edward Hignett officiating. Mr. Rock was born in Herbsen Waldeck. Germany, May 24, 1865, and died in Pierson, November 19. He was 70 years old. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery.
