Funeral services for Carl Rock, 86, Pierson, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church at Kingsley, Iowa. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Pierson under the direction of the Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley.

Mr. Rock died Sunday at a Kingsley nursing home.

He was born Dec. 13, 1883, in German and married Hertha Rock in 1922 on a farm home, near Rock Branch in Woodbury County. The couple farmed in Plymouth County until 1951 when they retired and moved to Pierson. Mr. Rock was a charter member of the First Lutheran Church at Kingsley.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Elmer, rural Kingsley; a brother, Fred of Kingsley; and two grandchildren.
