50-Year Resident of Pierson Dies; Rites Thursday

Pierson. Ia. Special: Mrs. Wilhelmine Rischen, 73, a resident of this vicinity for 50 years, died Tuesday at her home after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at the Salem Lutheran church here at 1:30 p. m. Thursday. Rev. A. E. Guetzlaff will officiate and burial will be in the Pierson cemetery under direction of the Osborn funeral home.

Mrs. Rischen was born October 1, 1876, in Hoerl Waldeck, Germany. She was married to Carl Rischen. The couple came to the United States and to Pierson in 1899.

Survivors include two sons, Herman of Colome, S. D., and Carl of Pierson; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Handler of Kingsley and Mrs. Minnie Harm of Pierson, and two brothers, Fred and Carl Rock, both of Pierson.
