MOVILLE, Iowa - Mrs. Fred Griep, 96, of Moville, died Thursday at a Sioux City nursing home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Rock Branch United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery under direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home, Moville.

Mrs. Griep, the former Edna Carney, was born Nov. 5, 1880 near Sibley. She attended school at Ocheyedan and was married April 20, 1910 at Bigelow, Minn. The couple farmed eight miles southeast of Moville for 48 years until Mr. Griep's death. Mrs. Griep later moved into Moville. She was a member of the Rock Branch United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, H. Russell of Moville; a daughter, Miss Ila Griep of Moville; a sister, Mrs. August (Ila) Burkley of Laurel, Mont; and two grandchildren.
