BENTON FRAZIER DIES SUDDENLY

Passes Away as he Sleeps. Had Prepared for Spring Activities About Farm

The new of the sudden death of Benton Frazier Tuesday night comes as a great shock to his many friends in this vicinity. Mr. Frazier had been in poor health for some time but had been able to attend to his usual work. He was making every preparation for his spring planting, and before retiring Tuesday evening he told his wife that in the morning he would haul a load of oats from his brother-in-law for seed oats. He seemed in his usual health and no struggle told that the death angel had called him hence. Upon awakening, his wife found that he had passed away.

Mr. Frazier has been a resident of this neighborhood since the spring of ’68 when he came as a small boy with his parents from Jackson County, Iowa, making the trip by ox team. He grew to manhood here and for several years taught school. Many of the men and women of the county, especially of the Rock Branch community, got their first schooling under his supervision.

About twenty years ago he was married to Miss Phine Gardner. Two children were born to them, Mary and Donald. He is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Geo. Eisentraut and Mrs. Mary Beckon of Morningside: Mrs. Mattie Bryant of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Alice Seitel of Chino, Calif.

No funeral arrangements have been made as we go to press.
