FRED EDWARD FIXSEL, 77, a resident of the Anthon community for 53 years, died Sunday at his farm home after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Rock Branch Methodist church near Correctionville. Rev. W. N. Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Branch cemetery. The body will be at the Hudgel funeral home at Anthon until the services.

Mr. Fixsel was born October 14, 1877, at Minden, la. He farmed in Wolf Creek township near Anthon.

Surviving are the widow, Katherine: two daughters, Mrs. Edna Burne of Correctionville and Mrs. Ada Denninger of Pierson; two sons, Louis of Pierson and Ray of Anthon, seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
