Mrs. Ralph Farrer, 71, died Tuesday in a Sioux City hospital after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Farrer made her home with a daughter, Mrs. John H. (Bernice) Tracy at 2630 S. Cypress St.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home in Morningside. The Rev. Milton Nothdurft of St James United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch.

Pallbearers will be Don Stevenson, Charles Ellison, Robert Wray, Jack Brouwer, Frank M. Tracy and Paul A. Berger.

The former Elsie Griep, Mrs. Farrer was born Jan. 10, 1899, at Moville. She was married to Russell Singleton Dec. 29, 1920 at Sioux City. Mr. Singleton died in 1936. She was married to Mr. Farrer Sept. 8, 1943, at Sausalito, Calif. He died in 1945. She came to Sioux City from Moville in 1953.

She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Sioux City and the American Legion Auxiliary of Moville.

Survivors besides Mrs. Tracy include a son, Lewis J. Singleton of Sunnyvale, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Herbold and Mrs. Hazel Prodehl, both of Moville; three brothers, Rex of Sioux City, John of Moville and Ralph of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
