M. G. "Mike" Dicks, 67, Anthon, who was active on civic and school boards, died Saturday at his residence after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Anthon Church of Christ. The Rev. Ted Sieck will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Branch Cemetery at Correctionville under direction of the Walter Funeral Home of Anthon.

Mr. Dicks was born Jan. 22, 1904, near Correctionville. He was a lifelong Anthon area resident and longtime grocer. He married Evelyn Heath May 9, 1936, at Smithland.

Dr. Dicks served on the Anthon school board and Town Council for 12 years. He was a member of Anthon Church of Christ and Cerulan Lodge 550, AF&AM.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Jerry of Anthon; two brothers, Ray of Anthon and Archie of Menomonie, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Renneker and Mrs. Angie Risher, both of Anthon, and Mrs. Martin (Gladys) Hunter of Fresno, Calif.
