Ricky N. "Red" Serviss, 60, of Sioux City passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, in Sioux City.

A public visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, located at 1801 Morningside Ave. in Sioux City. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. on Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rick was born Sept. 19, 1960, to Nolan and Stella (VanEvery) Serviss. He attended school in Sioux City, graduating from West High in 1980.

He worked for McCann Construction as a brick layer. He then worked at Sioux City Foundry until his health declined. Rick loved fishing.

Ricky is survived by his girlfriend, Ella Benson of Sioux City; sisters, Tammy (Mike) Asher of Kernersville, N.C., and Teresa (Dan) Leonard of Salix, Iowa; brother, Les Serviss of Sioux City; an aunt and uncle; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.
