MOVILLE, Iowa - Leona V. Crawford, 83, of rural Moville died Wednesday, March 14, 1990, at her home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Moville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Emery Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery in Rock Branch. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today in McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.

Mrs. Crawford, the former Leona Thiesen, was born April 9, 1906, in rural Gaza, the daughter of Julius and Margaret (Diedrich) Thiesen. She married Lyle Crawford Jan. 2, 1926, at Moville. She was a longtime Moville area resident.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey and Wilbur Rippke of Moville, Vera and Walter Sterrett of Marcus, Phyllis and Kenneth Anderson of Moville and Doris and Eldon Mortensen of Remsen; two daughters, Kathryn Smith of Garden Grove, Calif., and Shirley Kurasz of Lawton; two sons and daughters-in- law, Kendall and Shirley Crawford of Moville and Gerald and Mary Crawford of Ponca, Neb.; 26 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bethene; a son, Dale; one brother; three sisters; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
