A fatal accident occurred to Irwin aged 19, son of Cyrus Crawford Saturday Feb. 9. He and his younger brother went to visit a sick school mate and took their guns along for the purpose of hunting on the way. On arriving, they deposited the guns in the end of a threshing machine, and on trying to remove the guns one of them was discharged, hitting the young man in the neck killing him instantly. The funeral was held in the M. E. church Monday and a large crowd gathered to pay their last respects. The remains were laid at rest in the Rock Branch cemetery.
