Funeral services for Raymond Carrington were held Thursday, September 4, 1975, in the McCulloch Funeral Home at Moville with Rev. Forrest Flowers officiating. Burial was in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch.

He was married to Winnie D. Spencer April 12, 1919. She died in June 1961. In March 1963 he married Esther McFarland Spahr of Mesa, Arizona. He was a lifelong farmer in the area.

He had been a county committeeman and longtime trustee. He had been active in Farm Bureau and community affairs. He died September 2, 1975, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Survivors include his widow, Esther, a daughter of Sloan, a son, Duane, stepson Donald Spahr, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, plus a sister, Mrs. Hazel Hobbs of Illinois, and a brother, Lyle.
