CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa -Albert W. Brune, 94, died Wednesday at his home in Correctionville after long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church in Correctionville with the Rev. Kermit Gladfelder officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery in Rock Branch under direction of Barker Funeral Home of Correctionville. There will be a flag presentation ceremony at the cemetery.

Mr. Brune was born Aug. 8, 1891, near Correctionville and was a life-long resident of the Correctionville community. He married Edna Fixsel on March 1, 1922, in South Sioux City. They farmed near Rock Branch until retiring to town in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was a member of Mumford-Moon Post 79 American Legion at Correctionville.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Ashmore of Correctionville; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Murphy of Kingsley, three granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
