William Bohle 1853 - 1910

William Bohle was born in Waldeck, Germany, May 24, 1853, and died at his home near Rock Branch, Woodbury County, Iowa, December 1, 1910, at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 10 days.

He came to America in 1878 and lived in Scott County, Iowa, for six years and then moved to Avoca, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, where he was married to Anna Bockenthein, March 11, 1880. They lived there for three years and then moved to Woodbury County in 1883 where he has resided on a farm until his death. To this union were born eight children, two sons and six daughters, namely, Fritz, Lillie, Willie, Dora, Marie, Ina, Pearl and Myrtle, all of whom survive him but one, a daughter Marie, who died in infancy.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, two sons, five daughters and one grandson who all reside here and also one brother and two sisters who still reside in Germany.

He was a member of the Masonic Eastern Star and Sons of Herman lodges.

The remains were laid to rest in the Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch. About forty Masons from Correctionville, Cushing, Pierson and Moville were in attendance.

Mr. Bohle was a member of Burning Bush Lodge #474, AF&AM of Correctionville and six automobile loads of Masons from here went to the funeral.
