Funeral services for Miss Myrtle May Bohle were conducted from the home in Pierson Friday afternoon at 2 with Rev. G.R. Gilbert, pastor of the Pierson Methodist Church, in charge. Ceremonies at the grave were in charge of Pierson Chapter 509, O.E.S. Pierson Valley Rebekah Lodge #374 also attended in a body. Burial was made in the Rock Branch Cemetery.

Myrtle May Bohle, daughter of William and Anna Bohle, was born near Rock Branch. Her death came as a great shock as she passed away very suddenly at Cherokee, Iowa, at the home of a very dear friend of the family, Dr. Leo Harrison, on Tuesday, May 19, 1931, at half past 3 o'clock.

When a child she attended country school, completing 8th grade. Later she attended Pierson High School where she graduated with honors in the Class of 1911. She and her sister Pearl were the first twins to graduate from Pierson High School.

When a child she attended Sunday school at Rock Branch. She was baptized in the German Lutheran Church. In 1918 she with her mother and four sisters came to Pierson, where she lived continuously until her death. She was a charter member and active worker in the Order of the Eastern Star in Pierson. She was also a member of Pierson Valley Rebekah Lodge #374.

Survivors include her mother and four sisters, Mrs. Ina Price, Lillie, Dora and twin Pearl, two brothers, William and Frederich all of Pierson, two nephews and five nieces.

Her father preceded her in death in 1910, a sister died in infancy.
