Mrs. John Bissell, 25, 2607; Dodge Ave., died Tuesday after surgery at a Sioux City hospital.

The former Margaret Alice Gunn, she was born July 30, 1944, at Norwich, N.Y. She attended schools in Pennsylvania and Iowa and was graduated from high school in Springville, Iowa. A 1966 graduate of Morningside College, she worked for year at the First National Bank. She was employed with the Woodbury County Social Welfare Department from 1968 until her death. She was married to John E. Bissell July 29, 1968, at Slayton, Minn.

Survivors include the widower; the parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Maurice Gunn of Miles, Iowa; a sister, Miss Millie Gunn of Miles; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lucy Owens of Fort Dodge; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Gunn of Efton, N.Y.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.

Funeral services for Mrs. John Bissell, 25, 2607 Dodge Ave., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church. The Rev. D E. Cannaday will officiate.

The Rev. C. W. Kerns, pastor of the United Methodist Church at Correctionville, will officiate at graveside services in Rock Branch Cemetery near Correctionville. Burial will be under direction of the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.

Pallbearers will be Gilbert Fortin, George Peterson, Jay Bostrom, Lynn Brayman, Kenneth Van Dieren and Glenn Major.

Mrs. Bissell died Tuesday at a Sioux City hospital after surgery.

A memorial has been established in Mrs. Bissell’s name at the Rock Branch United Methodist Church near Correctionville.
