Mrs. Roberta Bird, 64, 507 S. Helen St., died Friday evening in a Sioux City hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Bird, the former Roberta Ellen Litterick, was born May 24, 1911, in Correctionville, Iowa. She moved to Sioux City in 1943 and was employed by the Ingleside and Billy Sunday nursing homes before retiring due to poor health.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Loretta) Smith of Sioux City and Mrs. Neil (Inne) Hoeft of Elk River, Minn.; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph of Cherokee, Iowa, Robert of Springfield, Ore., and Raymond of Pokipse, Ark.; and a sister, Mrs. Wilma Oftedal of Sioux City.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside. The Rev. Elmer J. Yates of Central Assembly Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, at Rock Branch, Iowa.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Stading, Raymond Geary, LeRoy Jansen, Monte McKercher, Norman Haugen and George Hill.
