Mrs. Mary Bennett, 80, of Correctionville died Friday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Carl Olson, 115 West Sixth street, after nearly a year's sickness.

For the last nine months, Mrs. Bennett had lived with the daughter.

Born at Maquoketa, la., Mrs. Bennett came to Woodbury County with her parents when 11 years old. She was married to Warren A. Bennett, in Sioux City in 1878. They lived at Correctionville. Mr. Bennett, a civil war veteran, is dead.

Surviving are three sons, Lewis W. and John Bennett of Correctionville and Joe of Moville; five daughters, Mrs. Glenn Elliott of Wilmar, Minn., Mrs. Lawrence Justi of Kingsley, la., Mrs. A. M. Coyner of Ponca, Neb., Mrs., Claude Kinzey of Wamic, Ore. and Mrs. Olson; a stepson, Charles Bennett of Moville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Etta Dunlap of Missouri; 24 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The body is at Westcott Doughty-Chandler funeral home.
