Peter J. Behrens, 78, 3506 Dupont St., was dead on arrival at a hospital Friday evening.

Mr. Behrens was born Aug. 4, 1890, at Westfield, Iowa. He farmed at Anthon until retiring in 1967. He married Laura Medsen Nov. 10, 1913, in Sioux City. They moved to Sioux City a year ago.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Dale and Lynne, and two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Savage and Mrs. Albert McCormick, all of Sioux City; and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Bowen of Anthon and Mrs. Esther Kletecka of Los Angeles, and 12 grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Anderson Funeral Home.
