Mrs. Mary D. Beckon, 81, died Sunday in her home, 4227 Orleans Avenue, after an illness of six months.

Mrs. Beckon was born March 5, 1858, at Maquoketa, Ia. In 1869 she moved to Rock Branch, Ia., where she was married to Thomas Beckon. She came to Sioux City in 1905 and had resided here since.

She was a member of Grace Methodist church.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Alice Seitel of Chino, Cal. Three children and her husband preceded her in death.

The body is at the Ivan Winter funeral home pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
