Virginia (Ginny) Marie Seitzinger, age 81, went home to Jesus on August 3rd, 2021, at home surrounded by family. She was born June 3rd, 1940, at home in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Viola (Dycus) Short.

Virginia’s life was fulfilled as a wife, mother, homemaker, and through her deep passion for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She could bring life to a room simply by entering it. She had an unbelievable ability to see beauty and worth in every person, place, or thing she came into contact with. Her free spirit and adventurous soul will be missed by all.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 61 years Robert Seitzinger, Sr., sons Robert Seitzinger, Jr. and wife Barb and Doug Seitzinger; daughters Lori Hardin and husband Brad, and Vicki Seitzinger and husband Paul Dyson. Surviving also are grandchildren Jason Williams, Joshua Seitzinger and wife Brandy, Jeremy Seitzinger and wife Angie, Zachary Reisetter and wife Carly, Brandi Howell, Megan Wills and husband Ben, Sammy Seitzinger, Dakota and wife Samantha, Hilary, Nick and wife Christy; and by great grandchildren Cylus, Yasmin, Kylie, Kynzlee, Kyzer, baby-to-be Seitzinger, Stacie and Jackson Howell, Aubrey and Emily Wills, Preston, Parker, Paisley, Ashland, Braxton, Brayden, and Brooklyn. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and eight sisters: Phyllis Prather, Helen Washburn, Alice Van Laningham, Frances Short, Lois Smith, Doris Rasmussen, Joyce Bolles, Delores Vest, and one brother Donnie Short.

A Celebration of Life for Virginia will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the Moville United Methodist Church in Moville, Iowa. Virginia’s family asks that in lieu of flowers you please send a check to Baylor Memorial Hospital, Attention: Development Office, 2401 S. 31st, St. Temple, Texas 76508.
