5 July 1887PING - At his residence on Elliott Creek near the Grange hotel, this county, July 4, 1887 of consumption, J.C. Ping, aged 39 years.
Mr. Ping was one of the substantial farmers of that section and had held the office of justice of the peace for the past five years.
He leaves a wife and four children. The funeral will take place today from the residence.
