Mrs. Mary Nichols, 85 years old, died Sunday at her home at Lawton. She was born June 30, 1849, at Burlington, la., and was married to William Marshall March 2, 1870.

Following the death of Mr. Marshall, the widow married George Stees on December 27, 1894. Mr. Stees died in 1905 and the widow later married George Nichols who preceded her in death in 1918.

Surviving Mrs. Nichols are a son, William Marshall of Lawton; five sisters, Mrs. Susan Ping of Sioux City, Mrs. Effie Bridgett of Lawton, Mrs. Loretta Redfern of Bronson, Kan., Mrs. Nora Smith of New London, la., and Mrs. Nellie McClune of Burlington, la.; two brothers, James Howard of Lawton and Scott Howard of Moville, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Community church at Lawton. Rev. Mr. Grimm will officiate, and interment will be in the Lawton cemetery under the direction of the Stiles funeral home of Moville.
