Misty Lynn Prichard, 52, of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021 at her residence.

Misty Lynn was born January 23, 1969 in Sioux City, the daughter of Kenneth Wayne and Kay (Bruins) Prichard. She grew up in Smithland and graduated from North High School, Sioux City. She worked at Goodwill and McDonalds.

Misty loved all horses and especially riding therapy horses. She enjoyed taking pictures, being on the beach, and attending Art Splash in Sioux City. Misty loved spending time with all of her family. She enjoyed watching the Harlem Globetrotters and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Misty was a member of the United Methodist Church, Smithland. She was a member of the Sioux City Association of the deaf.

Survivors include her brother, Jeffrey Prichard; her sisters, Teresa (Mike Henshaw) Davis, and Suzie Jones; nieces and nephews, Kevin Prichard, Lori Prichard, Amanda (Shaun) Sadler, Bobbi (Joshua) Collins, Kelsey (Tom Stangl) Jones, and Rebecca (Stark Forziere) Kephart; great-nieces and nephews, Brooke, Landon, Madison, Liviyah, Elijah, Reighlyn, and Ezra; and many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Kay (Bruins) Prichard; maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Beaulah Bruins; great-grandparents, Mary and Elmer Zortman; paternal grandparents, Paul and Phyllis Prichard, and Alma and Giles Lee; great-grandparents, Jay and Emily Prichard; and niece, Jessica Lynn Mandicino.

Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa. A graveside service followed at the Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland, with Pastor Karen Handke officiating. Music selections were “Amazing Grace” – CD, “In The Arms of An Angel” – CD, and “One More Day” – CD. Arrangements were under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa.
Casket bearers were Misty’s family members.
