Floretta “Tet" Weber, age 56, of Danbury. Iowa, died on Monday, January 9, 1989, in a Sioux City, Iowa, hospital.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 1989, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Oto, Iowa, with the Reverend Gerald Zensen officiating. The burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 1989, with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Funeral Home at Mapleton, Iowa.

Mrs. Weber, the former Floretta Hupke, was born on November 3, 1932, to Ben and Lucille (Rauterkus) Hupke in Danbury, Iowa. She was raised in the Danbury and Mapleton community and attended St. Mary's Catholic School until eighth grade, graduating from the Mapleton High School in 1950. From 1951 to 1958, she worked at the Onawa Clinic. On July 13, 1957, she married Richard Weber at Mapleton, Iowa. The couple farmed six miles west and three miles north of Danbury, Iowa.

Mrs. Weber was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oto, Iowa, and the Altar Society of the church. She also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9124 Auxiliary of Oto, Iowa.

Floretta was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Survivors include he r husband; eight sons, Roger, Randy, Tom, David, Bill, Kerby, Sam, and Jason, all of Danbury, Iowa; two brothers, Leon of Boulder, Colorado, and Bob of Anaheim, California; and two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Francine) Gretch of Great Falls, Montana, and Mrs. Donna Wells of Altoona.
