Mrs. John Schoberg, 73, 6121 Morningside Ave., a former postmaster at Oto, died Wednesday afternoon at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

The former Freda L. Thompson, Mrs. Schoberg was born Oct. 24, 1896, at Oto. She was married Sept. 16, 1926, at Oto. The couple lived in Oto until coming to Sioux City in 1944 She was postmaster in Oto for a number of years. Mr. Schoberg died Jan. 15, 1957, in Sioux City.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Freda) Sokolowski and Mrs. Keith (Martha) Seehusen, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. A. L. (Ann Marie) Kellen of El Paso, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Herman (Mary) Schmidt Sr. of Sioux City; and eight grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.

Funeral services for Mrs. John Schoberg, 73, 6120 Morningside Ave., a former postmaster at Oto, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church. The Rev. 0. A. Grendler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Oto under direction of the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.

The Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Lyle, Elton and Wallace Schmidt, Wilfred Bernard, Maurice Callaghan and Leo Cole.

Mrs. Schoberg died Wednesday afternoon at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
