Paul Christensen, 87, of Sioux City died Thursday, June 22, 1995, at a Sioux City nursing home following a brief illness.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morningside Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Sowers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites by Leslie F. Seaton Post 666, American Legion of Smithland, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mr. Christensen was born June 24, 1907, in Fairport, N.Y. When he was a baby he moved with his family to the Holly Springs area, where he attended school. He married Norma Weber Feb. 17, 1946, in Holly Springs. The couple farmed in the Holly Springs area until moving to Sioux City in 1989.

Mr. Christensen was a member of St. John Evangelical Church and the Leslie F. Seaton Post 666, American Legion of Smithland.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Pauletta and Mark Raymond of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Kimberly Meyers and Keaton Raymond; and a sister, Ann Marie Ashby of Stockton, Calif.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Leslie F. Seaton Post 666, American Legion of Smithland.
