Stanley R. Bos, 63, Lawton, painter and decorator, died Monday of an apparent heart attack.

Services will be at 1 a.m. Friday at the Lawton Community Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert E. Peters will officiate. Burial will be in the Banner Township Cemetery in Lawton under direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.

Mr. Bos was born Oct. 8, 1915, in Sioux City. He was graduated from Central High School.

He married Altha Claus Dec. 28, 1942, in Dakota City. They lived in Birmingham, Ala. while he was in the service. He farmed in Woodbury County near Smithland and in Cherokee County near Washta and had lived in Lawton for the last 18 years.

He served as a sergeant with the 4139th Army Air Force Base Unit for 3 years and nine months. He was employed with Eybers Painting and Decorating Co. in Sioux City for the last 12 years.

He was a member of Local 214 Painters and Allied Trades in Sioux City and a former member of St. John’s Independent Church at German City near Hornick.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Judy) Freeman and Mrs. Gary (Patricia) Peters, both of Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Evangeline) Schmidt of Dolton, S.D.; three brothers, Gilbert of South Gate, Calif., William of Fairfax, Va. and Wesley of Jackson, Mich.
