Nancy C. Wiley, 77, of Lakeside, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at a Hospice House in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Services will be 4 p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Duane Queen officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Nancy was born on Dec. 31, 1943, in Lake City, Iowa to William “Bill” and Elmyra (DenHartog) Van Gorkom. She finished 11th grade at Sheldon, Iowa High School.

On May 23, 1980, Nancy was united in marriage to Jon Wiley at Clovis, N.M. They lived in various places before settling in Sioux City, Iowa in 1983. Nancy enjoyed being a stay-at-home wife and taking care of her pets, from stray cats to wildlife including turkeys, raccoons, and deer.

Nancy is survived by her children, Mark Kobes and Troy Kobes, both of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Kandi (Chris) Boeckman of Storm Lake, Iowa; grandchildren, Tabitha Ballou of Schaller, Iowa, Danika Pittenger of Lakewood, Colo., Shelby Pittenger of Denver, Colo., Beau Boeckman, Brody Boeckman, Bobby Boeckman, all of Storm Lake, Brittnee Kobes, and Katelyn Kobes, both of Sioux Falls; and four great-grandchildren.
