Orlie Hindman, 4214 Van Burean Street, died Wednesday night in a hospital following a five-day illness.

Born April 6, 1914, at Hornick, la., Mr. Hindman located in Sioux City 21 years ago. He attended school at Hornick and East high school. Twelve years ago he married Kathryn Levin at Elk Point. He was a guard at one of the special depots and was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are the widow; one son, Orvall; two daughters, Nancy Ann and Barbara; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Hindman, Sioux City; his grandmother, Mrs. Rose Hindman, Hornick; , six brothers, Marvin and Everett, both in the navy somewhere in the south Pacific; Robert, Hebron, Neb.; Leland, Sioux City; Jack, Bananza, Ore., and Bert, Waterloo, la. three sisters, Mrs. Ed Gill and Mrs. James Mandicino, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Frederick Godfey, Bananza, Ore.

Funeral services will be held at 3;30 p. m. Saturday at the W. Harry Christy funeral home, 711 Myrtle Street, with Rev. Arthur Dyson officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Springs cemetery.
