Harry A. Hindman 1888 - 1960

Funeral services for Harry A. Hindman, 72, 2827 Chambers Street, a Sioux Cityan since 1923 who died Monday night at a hospital after a long illness, will be at 1:30 p. m. Thursday at the Hornick Methodist church. Rev. Keith Hauser will officiate. Burial will be in Holly Springs cemetery under direction of the. W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.

Mr. Hindman was born January 29, 1888, in Hornick. He married Alice Parsley in Sioux City in 1912. The couple lived in Hornick until 1918 when they moved to Sergeant Bluff. They moved to Sioux City from Sergeant Bluff in 1923.

Mrs. Hindman died April 6, 1957, in Long Beach, Cal. Mr. Hindman was a member of the Hornick Methodist church.

Survivors include, five sons, Harry E. Hindman of Sioux City, Marvin Hindman of Biggsville, Ill., Robert Hindman of Phillipsburg, Kan., Jack Hindman of San Pedro, Cal., and Leland Hindman with the armed forces stationed recently in the Philippines; three daughters, Mrs. Fern Gill and Mrs. Elma Mandicino, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Ruth Godfrey of Portland, Ore., a stepson, Bert Linder of Lawrence, Kan.; four brothers, Henry Hindman of Hornick, Willis Hindman of Omaha, Charles Hindman of Sioux City and Franklin Hindman of Winnebago, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Dowling of Hornick and Mrs. Ada Alam of Winnebago; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
