Oliver L. Hanson, 84, Sergeant Bluff, died Monday at his home.

Funeral services were held today at the Wood Funeral Home in Sloan. The Rev. Paul Textor of the United Methodist Church, Hornick, officiated. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Hanson was born Dec. 27, 1884, in Athens County, Ohio. He was a resident of Sergeant Bluff for 30 years and prior to that of Salix. He was a mechanic.

Mr. Hanson was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge at Whiting, Iowa.

Survivors include three brothers: Willis of Calgary, Canada, Earl of Onawa, Iowa, and Clare of Portland, Ore., and two sisters, Mrs. Irma Lamb of Missoula, Mont., and Mrs. Blanche Baggs of Hornick.
