Miss Gwendolyn Hall

HORNICK, Iowa - Miss Gwendolyn Fay Hall, 74, 6120 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, a former rural Hornick resident, died Wednesday in a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the United Methodist Church of Hornick. The Rev. Dale Church will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery near Holly Springs under direction of the Willman Funeral Home of Rodney.

Miss Hall was born Oct. 31, 1903, on a farm near Hornick. She was a graduate of Holly Springs High School and Iowa State University, and she did graduate work at Iowa State and Drake universities.

Miss Hall taught high school for 32 years, the last 13 years at Charter Oak and Adair-Casey. She retired in 1964 due to ill health.

She was a member of the Hornick United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two nephews, William Christman of Branson and Donald Hall of Sioux City and three nieces, Miss Sandra Christman of West Union, Mrs. James (Barbara) Golding of Waukesha, Wis., and Mrs. Martin (Diana) Swain of Seattle, Wash.
