OTIS V. HALL

Otis V. Hall, 83, 2315 S. Magnolia St., former nursery man, died Wednesday in the Indian Hills Care Center after a long illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside. The Rev. Ronald Unser of St. James United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs (Iowa) Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Duane M. Nelson Post 1981, American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Mr. Hall was born Nov. 5, 1899, in Anthon, Iowa. He married Mabel Kelsey May 19, 1924. She died in December of 1930 at Smithland, Iowa. He married Blanche Livermore Feb 16, 1942, in Hartington, Neb. He was a lifelong Woodbury County resident, farming near Smithland before moving to Sioux City in 1943.

He was an Army veteran of World War I and was a member of the Sons of American Revolution, Veterans of World War I and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Raymond V. of Minneapolis, Minn. and Roger of Vero Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Charlotte A. Johnson of St. Paul, Minn., Lila H. Champion of Denison, Iowa and Beverly H. Albright of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Kenneth R. of Ajo, Ariz.; one sister, Joy Grove of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
