DIED: At Hay Springs, Nebraska, Jan. 20, 1892, Mrs. Nancy Baker, aged 77 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Mrs. Baker came with her husband to Correctionville, Iowa, in 1869, where she made her home until the spring 1888, when she went to the Black Hills in South Dakota. After a residence there of three years she went to Springs, Nebraska, where she died.

Mrs. Baker was one of the patriotic women of America and was a member of the W. R. C. She raised twelve children, and furnished a husband and four sons for the late rebellion, and one son for the late Indian war. For over fifty years she was consistent member of the M. E. church.

On March 2, her remains were brought to Correctionville by her son, Frank, where they were laid to rest beside her husband and two grandchildren. Rev. Smith, pastor of the Congregational church, performed the sad rite at the grave.
