DIED: Susan E. Miller, at her home near Cushing, Friday, Feb. 19, of consumption, aged 37 years and 7 months.

Susan E. Sullivan was born July 2, 1854, in Grant county, Wisconsin, where she resided until 1870 when she came to Correctionville. Two years later she was married to W. H. Miller, who survives her. The union was blessed with five children, three of whom are left to mourn the loss of a mother. The deceased was attacked about two years ago with that relentless disease, consumption, and though all was done that medical skill and loving care could accomplish, it kept making deeper inroads upon her constitution, and it became evident some months ago that all hope must given up. Day after day her friends relatives saw her grow weaker and weaker without the power to do aught, but smooth her pathway to the grave.

The funeral was held from the family residence, Rev. Pendell, of Cushing, speaking words of comfort and sympathy to the bereaved family.

The high regard and esteem in which she was held by the community was well attested by the large number who gathered last Saturday to pay the last token of respect. The Odd Fellows, of which organization Mr. Miller is a member, attested their sympathy for their fellow member by attending in a body.

Mrs. Miller had for many years been a faithful and consistent member the M. E. church, and died firm in the faith.

The remains were laid to rest in the Correctionville cemetery.
