David Wayne Ingalls, 75, of Cedar Park, Texas, formerly Sioux City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020.

A memorial to celebrate David's life is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2021, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Phillips Upshaw Funeral Home in Austin, Texas. Come and go as you please.

David was born in Sioux City, on Sept. 20, 1945, to Edna Fern Mae Maston Ingalls and Donald Wayne Ingalls. He graduated from Central High School and served in the Marines from 1965-1969. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

David served as a Deputy Sheriff in Sioux City for several years and then continued his passion for helping others through his work with Goodwill Industries.

David married Julie DeRemer, now known as Julie Ercanbrack, and the couple had two sons, Shannon and Shaun Ingalls.

In life, David was passionate about taking care of his family. He is fondly remembered by his loved ones for his commitment to his family and providing for his sons.

He is survived by his sisters, Joan Cole and Susan Ingalls, as well as one of his children, Shaun David Ingalls.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Kenneth, William and Jerry Ingalls; his son, Shannon Wayne Ingalls; as well as his sister, Nancy Ingalls.
