Mrs. Laura Holmes 82, 1819 S. Pomegranite street, a resident here 58 years, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. John T. Flynn, 2764 Court street, after a long illness.

Born March 16, 1863, at Trondheim, Norway, she came to the United States and Sioux City in 1887 and had lived here since.

Her husband, Chris Holmes, died October 31, 1944.

Surviving are a son, W. A. Holmes of Sioux City, and a grandson.

The body was taken to the Nelson-Berger funeral home.
